Tour Itinerary

Day 1Departure for the Land of Fire

Our journey will begin in the morning, meeting with the guide at Tirana Airport around 11:00. We will take the flight at 13:30 to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. As the plane leaves Europe behind, a special destination opens up before you where East and West coexist in harmony. This is the country known as “Land of Fire”, a name that you will fully understand over the next few days.

Day 2Welcome to Baku

In the early hours of the morning, we will arrive at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, where you will be met by a local guide. After transfer to the hotel and check-in, you will have time for rest and breakfast.

You will start the tour with a cable car ride to Highland Park, from where you can admire magnificent views of the Caspian Sea and the Fire Towers.

After that, you will continue with an orientation tour of the city, where you will stop at the Heydar Aliyev Center, an icon of modern architecture designed by Zaha Hadid. Its undulating shape symbolizes the break from traditional Soviet architecture and has become one of the most photographed symbols of Azerbaijan. You will also visit the Carpet Museum, built in the shape of a rolled carpet, reflecting the centuries-old tradition of this art.

Day 3From Baku to Sheki

After breakfast and check-out, you will depart for Sheki, one of the most authentic cities in Azerbaijan, located on the slopes of the Greater Caucasus. On the way, you will stop at the Diri Baba Mausoleum, a mystical monument built partly into the rock, dating back to the 15th century. According to local belief, the place was considered sacred and pilgrims came here for spiritual blessings.

The journey will continue to the Shamakhi region, where you will get acquainted with the ancient tradition of viticulture. You will visit a local winery and taste typical wines of the area, learning that Azerbaijan has a history of wine production dating back thousands of years.

In the evening, you will arrive in Sheki, check-in at the hotel and enjoy a traditional dinner.

Day 4Cultural Treasures of Sheki

This day will take you to the historical heart of Sheki. You will visit the Palace of the Khans of Sheki, an architectural masterpiece of the 18th century, known for its colorful windows without using any nails or glue, a unique craft technique. The palace is a reflection of the luxury and aristocratic life of the time.

Next, you will visit the Albanian Church of Kish, one of the oldest churches in the Caucasus, believed to have been built in the first century. This place testifies to the early roots of Christianity in the region and carries an atmosphere of tranquility and spirituality.

After a free lunch, the evening will conclude with a local dinner and rest at the hotel.

Day 5Sheki – Baku and Absheron Peninsula

After breakfast and check-out, you will head to Baku with a stop at the element that has given the country its identity. You will visit the Ateshgah Fire Temple, an ancient Zoroastrian center built on natural gas sources, where the flame burned without being extinguished. Then, you will continue to Yanardag, the Burning Mountain, where flames come directly from the ground, an impressive sight that explains why Azerbaijan is called the “Land of Fire”. You will have enough time to explore the place and take the most beautiful photos.

After that, we will continue to the hotel and we will have free time to relax or visit the city individually.

The evening will end with dinner at the hotel.

Day 6Gobustan National Park & ​​Mud Volcanoes

After breakfast, you will head to Gobustan National Park, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will see prehistoric petroglyphs dating back over 10,000 years, as well as mud volcanoes, a rare natural phenomenon as about half of the world’s mud volcanoes are located in Azerbaijan.

You will visit the Gobustan Museum to learn more about the country’s ancient history and its archaeological significance. After that, you will have the opportunity to enjoy an off-road vehicle tour to explore the mud volcanoes.

We will conclude the day with a return to the hotel and our last dinner in Azerbaijan.

Day 7Farewell Azerbaijan

In the early hours after midnight you will check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport. As you depart Baku, you will have one last chance to admire the city that combines fire, history and modernity, closing this journey full of special memories and unique experiences.
